About Me
Paula is an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and Mindfulness Coach, setting up her Private Practice in the heart of Somerset in 2013. She has a wide range of skills, knowledge and experience in Mental Health and draws upon different approaches to suit the individual needs of each person she works with.
Paula’s ethos……
“I believe that everyone has within them a drive to evolve and that life on this earth is a journey. External environmental factors and early childhood experiences can often have a detrimental impact on the development and journey of each person, and we all experience some negative experiences within our lives.
But with our amazing abilities as humans to love, value, seek meaning, explore and learn to be aware of ourselves, we can realign ourselves back on our journey of self-exploration and healing and strive to reach our full potential; to let go of negative harmful experiences, thought patterns and behaviours and to connect with ourselves (our inner relationships with our true self) and connect in a healthy relational way with others around us”.
Paula was introduced to mindfulness and meditation when she was a child and found that even during her early adult years she would keep returning to the ethos and values of compassion and mindfulness within her own life. Ten years ago Paula reintroduced mindfulness and meditation into her life and enjoys the benefits of living and embodying a more mindful and present life.
As an experienced Mindfulness coach, she enjoys sharing these benefits with her clients in her counselling practice and also believes that Mindfulness has a place away from the counselling therapy room. Paula understands the benefits of mindfulness and now offers 8 week Mindfulness courses to anyone wishing to learn the practice and improve their overall wellbeing-physically, mentally and emotionally.
Paula qualified as a Mindfulness teacher in January 2020 and continues to teach Mindfulness tools and techniques as an approach within her integrative counselling practice to clients and well as running courses specifically designed to teach Mindfulness and Compassion.
